Update Mouse Records

Time to update mouse records:

1. When the new weaned mice are tagged, please update the “Tag”, “Coat Color” and “Ear Punch” information.
2. When these mice get genotyped, please update the “Genotype” information. See Mouse Genotype for detail.
3. When the mice die, please enter “Termination Date”. The dead mice will disappear from the “Cage” and “Census”. However, the records of dead mice are still in the database. Change the termination date to “-” to bring the mouse back to live.

To update mouse records, search the mice and open the records in "Mouse detail" standard or advanced window. The "List view" window is read-only.

If you click “Delete” button on the toolbar, the record will not be physically deleted from the database until you save the changes.

Tip: You can always cancel all the changes by closing the window without saving or clicking on the toolbar.
